Hanwen Wang's musical journey began at the age of eight. In 2022, she obtained a Master's degree from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She received the Advanced Certificate degree in Piano Performance, in 2025. Hanwen received the Doctorate offer in  Piano Performance(DMA) from Boston University in 2025, as well. As a representative of the conservatory, Hanwen has performed in China, Italy, and the United States. From 2017 to 2025, she mesmerized audiences as a solo pianist in numerous concerts and salons. In 2019, she showcased at Amalfi Coast Piano Festival as a solo pianist.

From 2016 to 2022, she clinched first place twice in the Piano Department Solo Competition, won the prize in the Yamaha Scholarship Piano Solo Competition and the International Young Pianist Competition in Asia. She won sixth place in the 5th International Deutscher Irmler-Klavierwecbewerb in China national wide.

During 2023-2024, Hanwen performed with the SFCM Orchestra, collaborated with conductors Edwin Outwater: Ellen Reid-Petrichor; Nicholás Lell Benavides-Acequia[world premiere]; Peter Lieberson-Neruda Songs[Nikola Printz, mezzo-soprano]; Martin West(San Francisco Ballet): Leo Brouwer-Concierto de Toronto, Jeremy Beck-Death of a Little Girl with Doves; Mei-An Chen: Unsuk Chin-subito con forza 2020; Brad Hogarth: Francis Poulenc-suite française; Darius Milhaud-La Création du monde, Op.81a; David Maslanka, Symphony No.4.

With eight years of teaching experience, Hanwen's impact extends beyond her performances. Some of her students have achieved success in piano competitions under her guidance, reflecting her ability to impart the joy and beauty of music to her students.
